Outpatient behavioral health practices
We offer outpatient services to give you access to behavioral health programs designed to help people with busy lives and schedules. These allow you to maintain your routine schedule, in general, while getting the care you need on a more flexible timeline.
You might use outpatient services if you are transitioning in to or out of an inpatient program. You might also participate in an outpatient mental health program if you and your doctor determine this level of care will be most useful to you for another reason.

Inpatient behavioral health programs
Through our affiliation with LewisGale Regional Health System, some of our psychiatrists and mental health professionals treat patients on an inpatient basis. We deliver individualized treatment strategies for patients with acute emotional health stressors and symptoms that cannot be safely and adequately managed on an outpatient basis.

Our inpatient services are available through a referral from your primary care provider or a specialist providing care during your hospital stay or emergency room visit.
Intensive outpatient program
As part of LewisGale Physicians, our patients also have access to an intensive outpatient program when a higher level of service is needed. This treatment program is sometimes recommended for patients after being discharged from our inpatient program and for others in need of a more intensive treatment program for addictions, depression, eating disorders or other dependencies that do not require round-the-clock supervision.
